Considering 2002 X5 4.6... feedback please

I found a 2002 X5 4.6 with 32k miles, Certified, with Nav for $39,900. Does this seem like a GOOD deal? The BMW dealership is telling me this is "the deal of the century"... literally their words. Are the 2002s pretty reliable considering it is the first model year for the 4.6 engine? Any feedback would be appreciated.

Yes...if all is right with the car...that is an awesome deal. I paid 2500 more for a 02 4.6 CPOd with 44k miles on it. I think what we are starting to see is more of the V8s becomeing available because of gas prices. I figured this might happen, but I am still very pleased with the deal on mine...so it goes...:dunno:

Take a good test drive and fall in luv. That sounds like a great deal. Make sure you test drive it in sport and manual mode. Most people don't think to check out the software. Also, run the vin...there are a lot of flooded and other wise damaged vehicles on the selling block at great prices........Phil

If it is at a BMW dealer...and it is CPOd chances of being flooded are pretty slim...It is a good deal...but it is not such a good deal that you have to question if something is wrong with it. That being said...it is always a good idea to run a carfax or other vehicle report against it.
