rising costs of parts
 

Just went in for an oil change Wed. once on the lift, fresh oil on the CV boots. Seems they went bad on the drive to my indy, as there is no oil on the garage floor, but there was on the driveway where it sat Wed nite. Great timing! During Thursday's CV boot replacement, my indy was lamenting how quick part prices have been climbing this last year. His belief is that BMW has upped part prices to pickup lost profits from slumping car sales. He's had some parts cost +40% over last year,

Oh, FYI... always get OEM boots, seems aftermarket are paper thin compared to BMW boots

The same goes for actual half shafts...always go OEM. I learned that the hard way.
