YES! I have 20" style 168's and the local car wash scraped the wheel on the drivers side....with the 168's...they are not set in deep w/sport tires and if the wheel is at the "right" angle...they will scrape on some car wash systems!
My local car wash here said they would not cover the damage...!!!!:wow: ...so i filed...:nanana:...still waiting on response and court date......I probably will spend more $$$ than it's worth.... I now Hand wash!!..:wahwah: |
I guess I have been lucky...I have received good service without exception in my experiences with the local carwash, however, one of my employees used to work for another automated car wash. When I asked him about his experiences, he said "oh yeah, they damaged cars ALL the time!", but even with having a disclaimer notice, he said that they would always pay for any damages.
He also said that one guy had his 24" chrome rims replaced more than once, yet kept coming back.... payout for damaged rims were becoming profitable for him, I suppose? I do not know why the owner would keep letting him come through?!? |

yup. I cannot do it with my 20" 87 chrome rims. I have 315's on the back and there is no way. If I have to use a auto wash I take it to those touchless POS washes. |
