Calling all owners in EDMONTON, ALBERTA!!
I keep seeing beautiful x5's in Edmonton and always think to my self if the owner is apart of x5world. In the past week I have seen several x5's modded with things like 4.6/4.8is kits, style 87's, exhaust tips, e70 wheels, and custom wheels.
I'm hoping all the owners in Edmonton, Alberta will see this thread and post. |
Black 2005 4.4i. No mods (other than a Dice Silverline and a Tekonsha trailer brake controller)!
|
Awesome! At least I found one member in oil country!
I have a 2005 4.4i too. But it's Toledo blue and totally stock. |
A city with hundreds of X5s and it's only the two of us? That's pretty weak!
I wonder where all the other X5 owners hang out and get amazing amounts of useful information for free? (certainly not at the dealer!) |
I was hoping for a lot more members to chime in as well. I remember seeing a few members from Edmonton before but there were only 2 or 3. Now I guess it's just the two of us :(
Maybe there are more members in Edmonton on bimmerfest.com BTW what dealer do you go to for service? |
I use Bavaria, only for convenience because I live in St Albert. They've been fairly good to me. I do as much maintenance as I can at home (oil changes, brakes, etc).
|
How's the service there? I've always gone to Edmonton BMW since I live close to Mill Woods. So far I'm not too happy with the service at this dealership but recently they've been making a lot of changes and seem to be getting better.
|
It's ok. I bought my X5 in the States which isn't popular with BMW Canada but Bavaria still treats me pretty good.
|
I might give that dealership a try if I have to go back to the dealer for any issues. So far the x has been trouble free. (knock on wood).
How's your x5 been treating you? A lot of people say x5's have many problems or BMW's in general but my relatives have owned many bimmers and they all agree with me on how good reliability is if you do proper maintenance. |
I won't lie, it's let me down a couple times. I had a mysterious electrical problem that caused a battery drain. It took a while to get that fixed under warranty. Then I had the famous crank case vent valve freeze up over the winter. That was a huge headache (never mind the $1800 to fix). Lately it's been running great though.
