Will 'E-OBD-2 ELM327 USB CAN Code Reader' work on my X5?
 

I need a OBD2 reader to read and reset error & service messages for my X5 and E46, so I've been looking at this from Hong Kong reseller from ebay for quite a while.

I've done quite a research but still confusing. It seems like it would make more sense going laptop and USB port route.

Will this read all BMW specific code too?
I would appreciate if you could share your experience.
