MtX5,
They also make great winter tires. The Sessantas are not winter tires in any way shape or form. The Wintrac 4 I believe is the winter tires that get great reviews.

Yeah you can also look at the post with my tires where I slammed into a tree with those tires.. they were GREAT in SUMMER... Going to buy them again. Definitely buying replacement winter tires though.

Also - i heard the vredesteins were actually made by continental.

Anyway the tires are great.. thats my review. My personal experience - switch up for WINTER!!

oo you went into the tree with the vredesteins??? damn... sorry to hear that.

so i guess they're not going to work for me..i need an all-season. man i wish they never got rid of the proxes..

Really quick.... what is everyone running the PSI in the summer on these? I'm a bit ignorant when it comes to tire pressure.... is lower the psi, better traction? I think I have mine set all around at 45psi... is that too low or too high?

I do drive aggressive and all.

Another question... what size of rim is anyone putting the wintrac 4's on? is 18" too big? Should I be running 17's in the winter?

KKim 06-11-2009 12:07 PM

45 psi sounds too high to me. 34- 38psi would be the range for front and rear for on road driving IMO

mtX5 06-11-2009 12:09 PM

i believe BMW recommeneds 32 psi all around.. but i don't follow that. 45 is def way too high.

KKim 06-11-2009 12:09 PM

Do not get any snow to speak of in this part of the world... no help to you

mgweir21 06-11-2009 12:22 PM

can someone reply on the psi for the Vredistine Tires that own them....

Thanks
