Wheel fix in NY

:( I just bought Chrome 214's (replicas) and just scratch them a little. It's not a big nick but it's enough to bother me. Can anyone recommend me to a shop where they can fix this kind of things.

I'm from Queens NY.

Call up Rallye BMW and ask them to give you the contact info of the guy they use.

Whatever you decide to do - compare prices with this guy: Long Island Rim Repair

Been in the business for years and years and does top notch work. His prices are great. I got a painted wheel straightened, trued and refinished for $75. Only thing you have to do is bring the rim in without the tire. He's been in the same location so long that his sign out front doesn't even have the area code listed.

Engz I would sell your chrome rims ASAP, list them on eBay. Chrome wheels are horrible as time goes by, they will loose air, and continually get worse, especially with the salt on the roads in NY. I had a set on my e36 M3, and a friend gave me that advise and it was one of the best things I did for that car. He owned at a tire store, so he has a lot of tires come back destroyed from the constant tire pressure drop. Seems like all chrome rims have this same problem that is time dependent, and suffer a lot of run flats as the years go by. Having wheels polished is a very different story, and much better than chrome.

Though I don't have chrome rims, I had the scuffs on my wheels fixed at Al's Hubcaps. The place isn't the most presentable, but they do a fantastic job. I only had the 2 rear wheels fixed and it cost about $130 per wheel. Job was done same day.

The best wheel place is some small mom and pop place in NJ. If you search bimmerforums.com the name comes up. Also a thread about chrome wheels, and people opting for powder coating instead of re-chrome.
