Is this Dealer's story Credible?
 

As you might remember, I had the SES light on, so the dealer said that he will reprogram the engine with european software. after this "reprogram" the SES was never on, but i mean NEVER!! it does not do the 2 sec routine check up when the key is turned to on. seems like they removed the lamp.

Yesterday, I went to them and asked about this issue. The tech guy said that the european cars don't have SES light, but a similar one called engine management or something. and since my car is american built with high tech cluster, this ligth does not exist. So I asked what if something happens to the emission system, how would i know without the light? he said that the center display will display the error...

Does this stroy make sense to you guys?
