ideas with 87's
 

i just got my set of 87 (9.5 front, 10.5 rear):cool:
just wondering wat type of tires and size should i get? low profile or normal size and which ones are better looks/ ride. does anyone have an idea that would recommend to me.. i would appreciate it alot
also should i put spacers? wat a difference those it make, as u can tell i have no idea about wheels l:(

Tire brand is up to you, but I wouldn't put anything but the tire sizes that originally came on the wheels.

front - 275/40/20
rear - 315/35/20

btw do u have any idea about putting spacers, and wats the benefit of having them or putting them on?

as for tire..i say stay away from toyo they suck...spacers no need to with 275F and 315R

Different tire brands/models will vary with regard to noise levels, grip and overall life. It is important to know what type of tire you need. All seaason, summer and so on. You can learn a lot about tires on this website;

The overall ride comfort is affected mostly by tire size, but seeing as you are stuck with the size because you already have the rims, ther isn't much you can do about this.

Spacers make a visual difference and maybe a slight handling difference seeing as they push the wheels out a little further for a wider stance.

They don't really suck. They do get loud as the wear, but they are good tires. The S/T II's have a different tread pattern to reduce noise. Have you had any experience with those?

i really would have to dissagree. the original Toyo Proxes might have sucked. But last year they came out with the Toyo Proxes ST II's. i have them and i think they are the best tires out there. They are quite and handle great in all weather conditions. plus they have a very long thread wear. if you do a google seach you will find all the great reviews of the new toyo proxes st 2's

I see you have two threads going about the same topic. You may want to see if a moderator can combine them or something.

you really think they suck? i think the proxes are the best performing, best looking tires i have ever had lol. im mad they discontinued them and replaced them with the proxes II

oh and about the issues with the proxes 'loudness'. who cares! its a car its supposed to be LOUD :D
