Wheel Set Up Question
 

I have a '05 3.0 Sport with 18 inch OEM wheels and tires. The ride seems to be a bit "bouncy", particularly compared to my previously owned Land Rover LR3. If I go up to 20 inch wheels and tires will that help or make the ride rougher? I know this is an elementary question for this gorup but I do apprecaite the input - got to do something to help the ride. Thanks

Check your tire pressures first. Suggest you set them at 32, or whatever is on the driver's door jamb for your tire size.

Thanks JCL. Did that and it helps a bit. Will going to larger rims and tires change the ride for the better?:dunno:

Going bigger will make the ride stiffer and you'll be able to feel the road better.

Yep, the lower profile tires are a stiffer ride and they have noticeably less flex/roll in the turns so you will handle much better. That and they are quite a bit wider as well so you can hook them turns faster. It will be quite the transformation in handling, will feel it more so than new sway bars IMO.
