4 wheel alignment
I recently purchased an '01 X5 4.4i. The guy that I bought it from put massive amounts of negative camber in the rear wheels and some negative camber in the front wheels. I took it in this morning to an Indy to get an alignment and they told me that they don't have the correct computer equipment to reset everything after the alignment. Does this sound correct??
Thanks, Todder |
certain things have to be reset via computer. take it to a bmw dealer or an STS or Mavis

there is a steering angle sensor on the steering column which needs calibrating after wheel alignment.
now , i could be wrong with this next piece of advice but then again it may work . some owners turn steering all the way left then allthe way right to recalibrate sensor . i hope some one chimes in to confirm . |
I have done this before. Typically whenever jacking the car up so both front wheels are off. The DSC light will light up on the dash. After you drop it back down, turn it all the way to the left, then all the way to the right and the light should then come off.
