Brake,ABS lights
Good morning all,well yesterday we had thunderstorms in new york,so i turn on the X this morning and i get the brake,ABS and triangle lites on. is it just a sensor is wet and need to let it dry or what. any advise much preciated..:dunno:

Could be any of a number of things, kinda like a check engine light... Just about the only easy thing it could be would be if it is a steering angle plausibility fault, in which case turning the steering wheel full left to full right (lock to lock) when you start her up can clear the light. If that doesn't do it, you will need to have the codes read.
Report any codes here and we can help narrow it down if it doesn't become cut and dry what is needed if anything. |

Each wheel speed sensor does its own thing though, along w/ 2-3 different part #'s based on where the sensor is in contrast to what it does. You're local autoparts store can give you a generic code, but only the dealership can tell you specifically which one. I (reluctantly) went to the stealership and was able to get out of there paying 1/2hr shop rate, then ordered it from www.autohausaz.com.IF its not a wheel speed sensor, that leaves the ABS/DSC module, which is about $300 to replace from ModuleMaster
