Just started having the same problems myself. Happened twice this past weekend. Car stalls when making a low speed turn (right or left). Service Engine Soon light comes on. Turn the key off and turn the vehicle on again and it starts right up. '03 x5 with approx 102,000 miles.

I have not had this problem in a few weeks now. I really dont know what the problem is. But glad it is gone.

The usual suspect with this is the intake cam position sensors... especially on the 3.0i
