Well after a long search, I finally bought her 2 days ago. '05 4.8is TS/Blk, CPO, orig. warranty expires in 1000 mi. or 18 days. I believe it has everything but r.b.s, hitch, rear side airbags, and comfort seats. A few Q's, but I'll save them for another thread. I know I'm no Ansel Adams.

I would however recommend before the orig warranty expires to have it thouroughly checked out and do maintenance check the the dealer and consider purchasing at least extended warranty if not maintenance. Enjoy your gonna have a BLAST!!!!

Since you brought it up, I'll ask. I've seen a few posts about buying the BMW extended warranty(~$4k). Definitely interested in this; I have a great indy who serviced my 5 & 3, but can't beat a factory warr. Can you confirm that is something I can do, even without being orig. owner? Thanks and sorry for hijacking my thread.

Nice X5 - is that a Sirus antenna I see?

Nice new ride. BMW ext warranty is really nice. I bought a CPO X5 and 20K later had the entire engine replaced under warranty when the header overheated and melted. That would have hurt if it wasnt covered.
