Selling the X ... What's next?
 

Guys, I am sadly considering selling my X due to repeated problems with the transmission. I did re-build few months ago then the heat exchanger went bad again and mixed water with transmission oil.. I managed to find a used transmission with almost 56K miles and paid like 2,000$ for it. Will install it then sell the car, I got enough.. (will remove most of the mods and sell them separately)

So for the next car, I have these options:
1. Brand new E70 3.0si Alpine White/Beige interior with M body kit and 20" style 227 M wheels ----> Special offer at the dealer for 58,600$
2. Brand new VW Touareg 3.6 ----> 46,600$
3. Used Cayenne S (still searching)
4. E60 545i 2004 fully loaded with only 21,000 miles -----> 24,000$

So what do you suggest?

I'd go with that E70 with warranty. Although I love tinkering with cars and fixing things, it's a lot better having piece of mind with something brand new and covered by warranty. Plus, you know complete history of vehicle and can keep records of what's done. Plus, after an E53, the VW would be boring, the Cayenne would be ok, but repairs on a Porsche aren't cheap. 545i nice, but lacks utility of an SUV/SAV.

E 70

My E53 is expected to get me like 17,000-19,000$

If I went the E70 I will have to finance the rest.. It looks amazing with the M kit and wheels .. I just wanted saddle brown interior instead of beige, but it is the only car remaining, and that's why I have to decide fast, take it or wait for another two months for the 2010 models to arrive (it will be more expensive of course)

If the 545i, I can manage to pay all in cash.. I like the car so much, very low mileage and it has all the options you can imagine.. Dark blue metallic with beige interior, and it has OEM M6 staggered wheels 19 inch..

VW T-Reg my cousin has it and i love the Growl from that VR6 engine. so yea i would go with the T-REG

Out of those the Porsche appeals to me the most. I like the Touaregs, but I'd want the V10 TDI

i like the 545i. last time i was in my friends car, i loved the smoothness of the driving.
