Tire question
 

I have the OEM Michelin Energies on the x5. I put them on early 2003 and have put 50k miles on them. The wear indicator shows 5/32 left on the tread but the sidewalls have this orange/brownish color.

I am concerned about the age of the tire (6 yrs+). Is there a way I can determine the remaining life (time/not miles) of the tire without cutting into it?

I've googled about this but haven't gotten a definitive answer. Any help is appreciated

there is a DOT date code on it. with the week and year of manufacture.
