Bluetooth help
 

I recently aquired an 06 X5 4.4, and after a few weeks, I am really enjoying it. However, when i am trying to set up my iPhone with the bluetooth, it won't allow me to pair with it without the 4 digit PIN. I don't have the PIN and I didn't buy the X5 from a BMW dealer or the orginal owner. Any suggestions on ways to find out the PIN?

It's on the module in the trunk. Take off the driver side panel in the trunk and look down. You might need to take out one of the plastic support pieces surround the spare to see the number on the sticker....or you can take it to the dealer and they'll tell you.

I think it is in your manual? U need the pass key code to successfully pair it. Are U sure U have a bluetooth module in your car? If not let me know, I bought one for my 02 X5 but the one I bought is for the newer cars.

I have a phone in the arm rest and sim card slot, but my phone always says connecting , can I pair a separate BT phone?

Mine was on a separate card with all the manuals in the leather case. The card had several serial #'s etc., the one you want says "PK" ####. BTW, congrats! I just picked the same car. Make sure you read through the manual to see all cool things the car can do for you, and also read thru the tips & tricks section here. Good Luck!

if you look in the trunk, the information is onthe module too. you need the "pk" 4 digit number. pk = passkey.
