Just picked up the same wheel from a member of the board for $175. Now all I need to do is get the airbag. Big thanks to BJO for the great deal on the wheel, it is in excellent condition

Altho my parts man said it would take 4 weeks to get the part from Germany, it was here in less than two. My service guy installed in less than 15 minutes, and what a difference! Can and DO recommend to everyone who REALLY likes to drive. And, it IS plug and play. No alteration whatsoever necessary. I'm now back to offering to drive to the store for my Bride every few hours.

Won my airbag on ebay earlier today so I will be doing this mod within the next week or so. So thanks to this post I bought the pedals, wheel, and airbag. People need to stop posting mods or my wife will leave me :)

if you have the "sport" option, then the swap from the stock sport steering wheel is relatively simple (and described for DIY elsewhere on this website) - I believe both the M3 and M5 steering wheels will fit the X5 (I mounted an M5 on mine) - both wheels are slightly smaller diameter than the stock wheel - the only difference between the M3 wheel and the M5 wheel is the M3 wheel has red,white,blue stitching, while the M5 is black.

list price is around $540.00, but as noted previously, you can get it discounted for $420-$440.
