skipping right mirror

Has anyone attempted to lube/grease the right side mirror mechanism? Mine is hesitating when I have the X5 in reverse.

you need a new mirror motor.

As an alternative to a new motor...reach out to member: mrbmwx5. I believe he has a DIY fix.

had the skipping mirror - dealer replaced my right side motor.

before rushing out to replace the mirror motor, try silicone spray

Thanks for advice guys. I'll try silicone first. X5 out of warranty so I'm sure it will be pricey at stealers to replace motor.
