Help needed please!!!!
 

Hi, my X5 wouldn't start so I called roadside assistance and they came and jumped it, it start after that, then it wouldn't start again, so I replaced the battery with the Duralast from Autozone today, and still nothing. Brand New Battery and Nothing!!!!, Someone/Anyone have any clues or help and advice before I have it towed to the dealer which is far away from me!!!!
This bites!!!!! Just died out of nowhere :dunno:

what do you mean by doesn't start..

do you have power?

does it crank?

can you hear the fuel pump?

what year X5? engine? miles??

I had similar problem with MBZ ML320. It would not start even when tow track driver gave me a jump, than I called to MBZ 24 hours assist and they told me to get a second set of the car key and start the car, which I did. Later I took the ignition key to MBZ dealer and they reporogramed.

I will try it, the year is a 2002 and miles are 39,000, it won't even crank, I have a question maybe you guys might know or it maybe far fetched. I need to change the brakes the light has been on for a while, I have not had a chance to change then yet because of my schedule, do any of you think the car shut down because it does not want me to drive it like that, kind of weird but with these cars you never know?????

there is a 'safety' factor in the indicator - just don't abuse it - you should make time for new rotors, pads, and sensors - brakes, steering, tires parts that HAVE to work to keep you safe

thanks, do you think that might be the problem, I hate to have to ahve it carted all the way to the dealer man it is a far ride for me
