Because it sounded so easy I just ordered one. I spoke w/Holston and he made it sound way too easy. I guess thats what I get for over thinking it myself.
Great C/S from BSW. May order another one for the M.

Assuming your X5 was built for the North American market it has the CD Changer connections in the back :)

The install is so easy and the sound so great that trying to tap in and hard wire is just not worth the time in my mind.

Here is a guide to find your 3pin and 6pin:

At $89.95 it's a bit expensive IMHO. I can get a brand new CD player w/ a headphone/aux/SD card reader on the front for that much. The stock stereo is by no means a great system, so i'm seeing if there are other ways to get aux input. I may just redo the whole thing like I did in my 7.

I would buy this product if they charged $200 for it. It was beyond easy to install and works great!

I added a splitter to it and I run my Ipod and my Satelite radio "plug and play" from it.
Thanks again BSW!

So were you able to take pics like I asked? I'd like to see it.

Spdu4ia 08-15-2009 09:02 PM

There isn't anything to see that isn't posted on the BSW website. Its just a cable with two plugs on one end and an input cable on the other. The instructions on the site are crystal clear and the plugs are designed where they only plug into one place.

That is true. Unfortunately you have the final installing not being as clean and 'oem looking'.

The only pic shown on their site is a black box, white sticker and a headphone jack. I'm interested to see the harness site of the where the cd changer harness plugs into the mystery black box
