Air Conditioning

Hi Guys,
i recently bought a 2005 3.0d....already had the drivers door jam on me which required the carrier needing replacing.

Cost me about £130 at the local stealership including part. Which wasnt too bad i guess.

My main problem now is the a/c. It works fine but only after the car has been driving for aabout 10 mins.

I have checked all the posts and it is probably the auxiliary fan as it it doesn't come on when the engine is cold and the a/c button is pressed. On the other had if the engine is has been on for a while and the a/c is started then the aux fan comes on a soon as the a/c button is pressed.

I simply want to know if it could be anything else so i can isolate the problem. If it is only the aux fan....what can i do to fix myself ? I have tried to look at the posts but for the life of me i cant get a straight answer.

cheers.

get someone to check how much a/c gas is left in the system. Most problems result from low a/c gas and pressure issues, from my experiences anyway......

Ours was the water valve. It was cool on drivers side but warm middle and passenger. Aux fan worked on ours too
