head light haze remove/added?
 

So I had some haze start to form on one of my headlights. Bought some fancy 4 step haze remover from the Advance auto. Followed the steps and repeated as it stated to do. Uh yeah...it sure took the haze out, BUT added an even worse line across my entire headlight!!! It was like while it removed the haze created a clear ugly line several inches in width and all the way across.. Looked 10 times worse then before the haze was removed. I even had a feeling this crap would happen. So the next morning I bought a buffer and some polish and put the buffer right up to the headlight and started buffing away. Haze gone, wierd newly formed haze line almost completely gone, impossible to notice unless less then a foot away from the car. I originally knew i should just use a buffer because I had done this on other cars, (using friends buffer) but fought the urge because I didn't wanna buy one. Oh well...Mental note: When you know how to fix something, go with it. Don't try some new experiment ending up costing more $$ and more time.

what kind of polish did you use? I have a haze on my '07 X5

there a really nice one out there i cant remember the name of it but it come in a thin silver baggie and it has the clear coat in it at first your going to think i just screwed my head lights up but one you put that clear coat on wow i am glad i did it. i pick up that 4 step crap to did not work but if i can remember the name ill post it and you can pick it up at advance auto parts

I had this happen to our MB. I used brake fluid and a buffing wheel. Applied let soak and buff. Did this a couple time and made them look brand new

:iagree: I used this Crystal View product as well and it really was amazing.

Primetime, I am not sure which kit you bought, but here are the results I had with the Crystal View product. I never thought it would have worked as well as it did or been as easy to apply.

it really good and yeah if you going to work on it i took 2 days on it took the headlights out it make it ez to work on them

Crystal View is also available at Wal Mart. I find that I have to re do approx every 6 mos or so. Better than $1200 for a headlight assembly!
