i'm thinking of getting a hid kit for my 2004 x5 non hid version. my question is so i need to get a code eliminator for my 55w hid kit? anyone knows about this plz help me out. thanks

If it's a slim then most likely. Fat ones seem to have a better chance of not throwing the code or flickering. If you are buying from a reputable shop, your best bet is to buy the code eliminator and return if you don't need it. That way you aren't ordering by the time you find out you need them.

Why do you need code eliminator for upgrading from your original non hid to hid conversion of your 04?

for some reason, it will appear headlight errors on you cluster instrument.
