03 x5 vs any other year ?
 

:dunno: Am i missing something or is my X different in every aspect to all other years , most parts are interchangeable so i hear from 00 to 03, but the head lights aren't ,i have xenons i'd like to install halo's but that seem's difficult. I've recently purchased tailights ,that as advertised would fit from 00 to 05 on ebay ,only to find out they won't work cause my wiring harness has the pins different from the lights purchased .This has happened twice,so i returned the lights for a refund PITA , by the way lights were sonar
and advertised to be plug and play for the X5 from 00 to 05. :dunno:Do i have one of those in bettween years that parts are hard to get ??? :yikes::yikes::yikes::yikes:

There are some minor changed ,,,, like headlights no way you can open them and put hallo's rings due to diff clue that BMW used.( You have to cut/saw to open them)
For the rear lights you have to play with the pins and switching them out to make it work
(like pin #1 to pin #2....)

I was feeling helpless there for a moment ...thanks sos i guess i can forget about the headlights ..

Biggest difference on the E53 was the LCI (commonly referred to as the facelift) that happened for 2004 models. Lots of changes that year. 2000-2003 years were pretty similar, as were 2004-2006 models.

Small items like the glue used on the headlights are part of any manufacturer's continuous product evolution program. Another way of saying it is that you shouldn't believe much that you read on eBay.

Yes i was starting to feel a bit annoyed with having to return some purchases to ebay ...dont think i'll be purchasing anything from there in the forseeable future thats for sure
