Just put on my decals and was wondering what you guys think. I like them but they might be to much.
Thanks
(special thanks to Chile1 for sending me the decals)

Looks good.

What did you you use to paint your calipers?

Naz24 09-05-2009 08:21 PM

I was just thinking that... otherwise they look great!

EDG08 09-05-2009 09:45 PM

Yeah the other caliper they are faceing in. The problem was the decals were the exact same so they both could not face in un less i put bmw going up on one side and bmw going down on the other. This way they both say bmw going down. Maybe i did it wrong but still looks hot!
Thanks guys

jmsspratlin 09-06-2009 02:23 AM

looks like you are missing a lug

Icer006 09-06-2009 03:40 AM

people will only look at the calipers one side of the car at a time. they should all be facing inward.

nevertheless, good job.

The odd one is probably the locking lug.

motordavid 09-06-2009 09:18 AM

Looks good...I wonder if the high heat dispersed through the cal will allow
for the decals to stay on?

chefwong 09-06-2009 09:23 AM

md beat me to the punch.....
my concern would be heat and the adhesive on the decal as well

imagine you had one caliper with a b w decal
and another one with mw

;-)

EDG08 09-06-2009 01:24 PM

They are made for calipers so they can with stand high heat, the degree is much hotter than the calipers will ever get. If that does happen i can just peel them all off. Not a big deal, but untill then they do look nice!

Most paint won't hold up to the heat as well. I've used the high heat paint for headers, but haven't painted the calipers yet. Wondering what paint might be best for this application. Any brands?

Agree with others that it isn't about whether the writing goes up or down, it should be read clockwise. Look at the writing on the sidewall of the tire. It is the contrast with the tire name and the BMW label that looks wrong, at least to me.
