Vibration
Hi
I've noticed a strange vibration to happen in my X5 when driving at slow speeds. It always happens with the same pattern: when slowing down in crossings there's 2nd gear on and I take my foot off the throttle pedal. Then after I press throttle slightly, the car starts to vibrate for 2-3 seconds. The vibration stops when the speed increases. You have any idea what's the reason for the peculiar vibration. My car is a '03 X5 4.4i. br Petri |
Could be one of a number of things, like slack/wear in the drivetrain components mounting, shuddering from worn friction materials/hydrolic pressure leak internal in the transmission, etc. You would be best served to bring it in for professional diagnosis and maybe take someone there (like the foreman or tech) on a quick ride to show them the exact conditions of the complaint.

Thanks for the info. I need to mention in the next service about it. Anyway, it is easy to reproduce the failure: slow speed & just a slight throttle => vibration. |
