Battery Light on and Blinks when Rev'd?

I am wondering if there could be some type of Fuse or Relay that would cause the Alternator to stop charging.

I just replaced the Battery and had my Alternator Rebuilt 2 months ago. Could I have a bad rebuild?

I put a voltmeter to the battery posts and got 12.0 - 12.1 with car off. Car on I get 11.6 - 11.8

Seems like Alternator is not working. I blipped the accelerator a couple time and the Battery light Blinks a couple times then Battery Light stays on steady.

Any thoughts or suggestions before yanking the Alternator to bring it back to the Shop that rebuilt it?

Pretty cut and dry case of alternator not charging.... should be warranteed by the shop that rebuilt it as it is likely a voltage regulator problem.

Yeah, this is what I am thinking, but hate to pull that Alternator again as it was a pain. I do believe it's a year warranty on the rebuild. So there are no fuses or relays in between the Alternator and Battery?

The power wire from the alternator is the same one that runs the starter... so if that was open circuit it wouldn't start at all. Nothing to worry about there. I wonder if they would cover labor under the warranty? May be worth a call before just pulling it for them...

Good advice. Maybe I will give them a call on that. I was just trying to give the local economy (local battery shop) a chance. I know I could have just gone to Autozone or something.
