Baking Headlights
 

I posted a thread a few weeks ago inquiring about opening newer headlights. I have been told that it is impossible on the newer lights. My question is has anyone tried to open replacements from the dealer. I ordered a set of lights for my 2001 X5 from Tischer BMW - the date code on the lights are 04/06. I looked at them last night and you can see a bead of soft silicone around the lights, so it looks like they can be baked. I also noticed on the X3 home page people have opened newer headlights as well. Isn't the same glue used?
