key functions doesn't work after reaplace new bat

hi everyrone. i've just replace my car battery. it's bmw x5 04 3.0 model. then after that my key doesn't work at all . does any one know why and how to fix this issue? please help me out .thanks

I just re-read your post. Are you saying the key doesn't start the vehicle, or the key FOB buttons don't work?

Reprogram the key remote using the instructions on this site. If you're saying the actual key will not start the car then that key is dead. And you'll need a new key.

is there any way for me to replace a the batt inside my key? does anyone get a DIY for it.
