CAN 7/02 HEADLIGHTS BE OPENED???
 

Hey i got an 03 x5 with xenon headlights stamped 7/02 (passenger) and 8/02 (driver). I read from others that 8/02 cannot be opened, but yet to find out if 7/02 is possible?? it would be some what of a relief if I only had to get one headlight rather than two. Please get back to me asap!!!

Yes it can be open.....BTW any headlight can be open if you know how to

can you help me then? ive read a lot of your posts youve done a lot of sick mods to your x...the 7/02 can be open normally thru baking but how can you open the 8/02?? thanks mr m-ive been searching but keep coming up with the same threads!

A very sharp exacto knife and a little heat or heat gun as you go along should do the trick. When you re-seal it though you will have to use some sort of apoxy or sealer most likely. On the earlier models you can just bake to open and close it up with no extra sealer usually.
