car wash bending my power folding mirrors
 

:mad: Does anyone have problem with car washes wipe down people bending your power folding mirrors by hand? I have power folding side mirrors on my X5 and they always bend it by hand. both mirrors become out-of-sync and I have to push the button a few times to sync them up. They finally broke but were replaced under warranty.

Shhh...don't tell anyone here you actually frequent the car wash!

I don't have the auto folding mirrors. I would however, suggest that you walk over and fold/unfold them yourself with the key in the ignition so you don't have a problem in the future.

GUILTY! I also go to the carwash and also have electric folding mirrors. I press my mirror switch when I go in to the carwash to avoid the rollers folding them. Then when it`s done, I un fold them again. Yes they do get cleaned too, the rollers manage to wrap a few tentacles around the mirror parts.
