Hi i checked my car pre date 04/04 and the bluetooth module pre date 06/06/06, i tried calling last owner he said he never know it had BT but he said while back dealer was talking something about cdma to gsm phone upgrade due to BMW Assistance not working or something, The change was free of charge so i never ask any questions.

i been searching from last 3 days haw to upgrade to gen this and that iphone works and i looked for part # no luck. i am going to the dealer see what part # they can give me for my home work.

I don't understand any of this if the BT is there why wouldn't it start pairing???

Ok, Click on the link below, It is a list of TCU that will work with your car and if it is not on the list, MOST LIKELY IT WILL NOT WORK. I understand your frustration because I went through the same thing thing.

check to make sure you have a mic and bluetooth antenna as well.

The part# 84119123191 is not in there :( so i will just take chill pill and say bye to that option leave the module alone. LOL

I fyou drive a lot its worth the money. I think U can get a New TCU for about $400, trying sending a email to the person i mentioned. Also keep an eye out on ebay, I lucked out and found one for $200 for one of my buddies.

after you obtain the TCU what else is needed to complete the install?:dunno:

ITs essentially a plug and play. As long as you have the mic and antenna installed. When U start the car it goes into pairing mode, once the phone detects it, enter the pass code viola U are done. These is a lot of infor on this site about it
