v1 install in 7 mins flat...
spent about 10 minutes finding my tools and the the short cable since the x5 has the sunroof power right next to where the v1 goes... i had to use the long cable in the boxster s before...
may redo this if i get the stealthone... anyone here have that? how do you like it? i remember being first to post about it on RF when it was still in experimental mode but have yet to see one in person... |
I have the stealthone and overal I like it. I like the display being dark on the V1. One thing that I do NOT like is that if you're trying to voice dial a number and it picks up a signal, it throws all kinds of numbers in there.

I have the S1 since it's beginning and I am very happy with it. Also participated in all of their Beta testing for new fw releases and with the new features in 1.6 it's even better than before :) (AutoMute etc..).
I have an "old" writeup at http://www.janixworld.com/x5/StealthONE/ since the writeup I upgraded to v1.6 and also relocated the V1 the passenger side of the headliner console as it hides thew V1 even better. - Jan |
I just ordered the S1 (with the new 1.6 s/w) - I'll let you know how I like it once I get it installed...

I've had the S1 w/V1 for perhaps a little over a year now - great product. I like having the V1 stay black and display on the gauge panel (don't have it come up on the nav screen, but you can). I also like the fact that it clears the nav accept screen as well. No problems so far. (Haven't seen the voice dial problem yet, but I can understand how that might happen).
