I'm sure several of you have looked at this 4.8is. Honestly, what do you think about it?

Just a couple of notes (MY opinion...May be worth ZERO! lol)

Not a huge fan of the chrome wheels.
Trailer hitch...Nice if you need one...Wonder how much towing it did?
Mileage is OK...
I'd verify the I'd verify the warranty company...Make sure it is reputable, BMW dealer will accept it, etc.

Too bad no silver for you (you won't hurt my feelings! LOL). Less miles AND from BMW.

Towing... good point!

I know I go back and forth between silver and red. Had a silver 540i, was easy to maintain and rarely looked dirty. Never owned a red vehicle before so I was thinking of changing things up a bit. Probably more work to maintain, and they look terrible dirty don't they?

That's me about Red (and black for that matter). GREAT colors when they are clean. Fine for a weekend car...Save red for the Ferrari! lol No...Nothing wrong with a red 4.8is...Just not for me with my daily driving schedule, etc.

Again towing may not be a biggie...I am adding a hitch to mine but mine will really be used for light towing (less than 1000 lbs) and very seldomly. Just for a dirt or street bike on a light duty trailer.

My wife laughs at me about silver (says I am boring)...78' Camaro (teenager), Acura CL-S, Mazda 6, (2) M3's, Viper GTS and now this X5. From the Acura on up to now has been less than 8 years! I like the contrast on the X5 with tinted windows, black fender flares, etc. MY .02 anyway! Oh I did have a black 97' Cobra Mustang, a blue 03' G35 coupe, burgundy Titan, dark green 00' Vette...There have been SOME others!

Make sure you get the "right" one for you!

I am STILL waiting for mine! Should have been here by Sunday...Now I am hoping tomorrow! This is killing me. In the meantime I am renting a silver Jetta! LOL Just a coincidence!

Now that one is SWEET...On the fence about the chrome...But I am partial to Blue!! Had a blue one for 10 days! And I LOVE the side steps...I really want those but will not spend the $1000 for them.

If the wheels got old to you OR you don't like them, I bet a number of people would trade...
