4.6is/4.8is brake upgrade on 2004 3.0d
 

has anyone done this before?

I would like to hear your experience on this as I am about to purchase front calipers from a 4.6is.

any input is appreciated (prefereably with pictures :thumbup:)

I don't see why it couldn't be done. I've upgraded my stock brakes in my 740 to 750 brakes which gave me larger rotors front and rear, added vented rotors in the rear and extra pistons all around. I had to get the calipers, mounting brackets (they're different sizes) pads, rotors, etc.

I have a set (front & rear) off my 03 4.6is that I was going sell to a buddy but he totaled his X about 3 months ago. Make me an offer if your interested?!

I highly doubt it, but if you or the OP are serious about doing it, hopefully you guys will take the time to shoot some pics and do a write-up yourselves.
