its pretty cool to see different color x5's with 4.8is conversion

by "full conversion" do you mean he put on the front and rear spoilers, or is it actually a 4.8

To me, a full conversion means 4.8is engine and all, not just two add-on spoilers.

That looks great. How much do those parts cost and where did you get them? Part numbers?

So you're saying that because it "looks" like a 4.8iS, it IS a 4.8iS? What happens when it get's smoked at a light by, oh i dunno, an infiniti fx45...is it still a 4.8iS? :confused:

All criticism aside, it does look good. But saying it is something it ain't is no different than slapping an ///M badge on it.

Eh the infiniti fx45 may be faster but it looks like it fell off the ugly tree and hit every branch coming down. Everytime I see one on the road it reminds me of a frog :rofl:

has the great looks of the 4.8is without the 4.8is air suspnsion issues.

to each his own but to play devils advocate i would definitely recommend not lying about what in fact the car is lol like the mbz who are badged amg none the less a nice conversion

Maybe instead of "Full conversion on a 4.4i" just "4.8is spoiler upgrade" would've suffised. Well found in any case, thanks for sharing.

This sort of pic helps to keep my interest level up on doing this 'upgrade' (on my 3.0i), just gotta find the coin to do it, as it's bloody expensive out here in Aust.

You have 2002, so your upgrade path will be to a 4.6is, not 4.8is. Unless you want to do the facelift at same time which will mean changing all body panels front of A pillar as listed in article here, in which case you can do a 4.8is upgrade.
