Questions for X5 4.6is

Hello all, how much will you pay for a clean title 2 owners 2002 X5 4.6is with 96,500k miles. It has navi, multi compact CD, tow package. The car is located in bay area, cali. BTW, does it come stock HID headlights and does it come stock with parking sensors? What should you look out before purchasing this vehicle?

Thanks,
EC

I shopped for a 4.6 for about 5 months before I bought. During that time I came across a couple dozen. I have not been looking since July so prices may have come down slightly since then. I saw a few similar to what you described above and they could have been purchased for $18K to $21K. Here is a good link for tips and common ailments:

Tips for buying, the usual- car fax, service history, pre purchase inspection, and be prepared to budget for replacement parts along the way. With the age and mileage, things will need to be replaced. Hope this helps and good luck.

It does come standard with both of those things. With this model more important than mileage is how well the vehicle was maintained. Get your pre-purchase inspection by a dealership before even making an offer, if you're serious about it.

I would say $17-18K range.

As others said, get an inspection and, imo, aftermarket warranty if you can swing it. Take care of her and she'll do the same.

The king of the E53 may be the 4.8iS but my favorite E53 is the 4.6iS...unlocking it's true potential is a must if you're into performance mod's :D

Happy motoring :driver:
