I need to remove cigarette lighter socket...
 

I broke some of the tabs off I guess. I was plugging in an XM SkyDock yesterday and when I went to remove it, it pulled the whole socket assembly out (at least partially). Now the socket just spins and moves around. I would like to simply replace the whole thing. I cannot figure out how to get the rest of the clear plastic out housing out without breaking the rest of it. I don't mind breaking it since it's already broken but how am I going to get a new one in there without breaking it? Anyone have any photos or suggestions?

I had a similar situation. My dealership said the dash had to be removed to replace it. It was covered under warranty, so I had them do it.
