Broken coolant vent plug - now what?
Our first official problem with our X occurred this morning. I opened the hood to have a check of things and noticed some coolant around the reservoir which I traced to a broken vent plug. The cap with the phillips screw head has separated from the rubber o-ring, but the inner part of the plug (that goes into the tank) is still there. I guess this means an hour trip into Vancouver tomorrow?

Had the same thing happen to me but it was at the radiator drain plug.....Didn't change it for a little over a month and about 1,200 miles of driving. It still held its place and did its job.

A local Indie shop had a ton of them, because they replace them every time they do a coolant change to avoid the problem I had. I bought a spare too - total cost of 9 bucks and no problem removing the old broken one.
