Its really not hard at all. Just remove all the screws that secure the bumper cover onto the car and pull the ends off the brackets. The only thing I had a problem with was seperating the ends from the brackets because they hold the bumper in place real well. Unfortunately I broke one into a few pieces as I pulled the end of the bumper. 19 dollars later, the bracket was replaced.

Aside from that, there is nothing really tough about it.

20 minutes is all it took me the first time I attempted to remove my front bumper. Sliding off the "grids" should take no more than a minute each, using a nice firm pull.

Taking the front bumper off is not difficult at all. It only takes 20 - 25 minutes. There are great post on this forum for how to do it. I took mine off to replace a PDC in august. I posted a whole bunch of info, advice and pics on how to remove the bumper. If you do a search you should be able to find it.

On a funny note, around 5 years ago i was driving my other x and hit a bird while on the highway. It hit the bottom grill and broke it. I had the dealership replace the grill. A month or so later i was looking at the X backed in a spot and noticed some feathers behind the grill. They replaced the grill and left the bird in. haha I took it back and on the service receipt for the work they did it said bird removal. Needless to say, I did not have to pay for that work.

That's funny, mine had a bird under the radiator when I bought it.
