Water Pump choices

Ok- I need some expertise

I can get a brand new wp for about $60 from any of the local autoparts stores like O'Reilly's or Autozone with a lifetime warranty- but with the plastic impeller.

I can order whatever I want online and have it shipped, but have to wait for delivery and be down all weekend when I have time to fix it...

I have no idea how much longer I will have this X5, maybe 10K and maybe 100K more miles...

What are the thoughts, experiences, input from the group?

Do it right. If you don't, you'll end up keeping it for 100K more miles and it will go again on you. One less thing you ever need to think about again.

Go Stewart or the newer OEM BMW one with the composite impeller

I just got one of the composite impellers. My old one was a composite too and it went 180,000+ miles. The bearing went out in my old WP. I sure the ones you get from autozone or oreilleys will be fine.

I bought one from BMW - with the BMWCC discount it was $158
