Water Pump choices
Ok- I need some expertise
I can get a brand new wp for about $60 from any of the local autoparts stores like O'Reilly's or Autozone with a lifetime warranty- but with the plastic impeller. I can order whatever I want online and have it shipped, but have to wait for delivery and be down all weekend when I have time to fix it... I have no idea how much longer I will have this X5, maybe 10K and maybe 100K more miles... What are the thoughts, experiences, input from the group? Skrach77 |
Do it right. If you don't, you'll end up keeping it for 100K more miles and it will go again on you. One less thing you ever need to think about again.

I just got one of the composite impellers. My old one was a composite too and it went 180,000+ miles. The bearing went out in my old WP. I sure the ones you get from autozone or oreilleys will be fine. |
I bought one from BMW - with the BMWCC discount it was $158
