Transmission Repair Look for a shop in Chicago
 
Anyone know of any mechanics that can fix my 2001 X5 4.4i? I am located in the Chicagoland area. I am starting to have the typical transmission issues that are posted on this site. Looking for a shop that will fix my current tranny not looking for a $5000.00 replacement. Any insight would be helpful.

You might try Golz Motors in Deerfield. They specialize in foreign (and maybe even German) vehicles, have been around for years, and have a great reputation.
