X5 locking issues
 

Hey guys new to the forum here. I just picked up a 2001 e53 and lovin it! unfortunately the dealer only had one key for this ride and the remote is dying faster than normal. I would like to replace the battery but dont want to risk of damaging the immobolizer so I went and ordered one through the stealership before i crack open the one i have. I arm/lock and disarm/unlock by turning the key in the driverside keyhole. Now the issue im having is that when I arm, it only locks the driverside and does not lock all the other doors and it doesnt make that "beeping" sound anymore...Is there a central lock reset or toggle that can be done? thanks!

Try turning the key twice. That should lock all doors.

thats what it used to do but now anymore...i can turn it counterclockwise twice and itll unlock and beep but does not work when im trying to lock it....thanks
