Gotta Love BMW!!!!
Just returned from 6 months in Qatar, before I left I stored both of BMWs in a storge facility with the batteries disconnected. Upon first arrival to get the vehicles I was scarred because both rear ends were sitting on the rear tires. I first tried to open the rear hatch of my X5 to connect it's battery. To my suprise, I could not open the bottom half of the door to allow me access to the battery because I needed power to push the electric latch. So I connected the battery on my 740iL and connected jumper cables to the X5 jumper points, that worked and gave it enough juice so I could open the bottom half of the door. As soon as I connected the battery, I felt the air pump kick in and the rear end started raising up. I got in the X5 and turned the key, and it started like a champ, like it was last run the day before. I then went over to my 740iL, got in and turned the key and same response... Both BMWs running like champs..... Just got to love those BMWs!!!!!!
