Questions about angelibright

I purchased a set of angelibright's for my 06 3.0i from EAS. After installing them, I wasn't impressed with the brightness of the lights. The pictures on the angelibright website shows them to be extremely bright even in the daylight. The lights that I installed are not very bright at all. You can't even tell that they are on when there is daylight. They are brighter than the stock lights, but for $300 I was expecting them to be so much more brighter. Is there anybody that has installed these that can chime in on how bright they are supposed to be? Are they supposed to be as bright as the pictures on angelibright.com? Thanks for any help and Happy Holidays.

got the same effect mate , if it wasn't for the fact they are white light over the factory yellow coulor i would have sent them back , I think the stock ones where actually more visible in daylight than the ibright 3 , not worth $300 in my opinion

antochat 12-10-2009 01:08 AM

Not good! I have some coming this week. Anyone from EAS care to address this?

Ouch I was looking at getting some as well. I got the DDM ones and they suck crap. Had them pulled out and sent in to be warranted within a couple months and I was looking at getting the AiB's but now I am wondering if all it does is just change them from amber to white then what’s the point. $300 is alot just for that

I got the Angel iBrights v3 and they worked out pretty well for me. I used to have the Predator ICE and that was brighter than stock, but not as much as the ibrights. The reason why they look extremely bright in pictures is because of the angle they took the picture at and ambient lighting. Also make sure they aren't loose in the housing and that its pushed in all the way and locked in

jayjay_dee 12-10-2009 03:01 PM

i used to have them on my e53 and they are okay... its not like you cant see them during daylight... but yeah, not even close to the pictures they have on their website... still better than oems though...

Seems like they're better then OEM's but clearly overpriced....

sfjunglist 12-10-2009 04:10 PM

After playing with them a little bit more, I did notice that they are alot brighter than the stock lights. However, as stated in an earlier post, they do look much brighter in pictures than in person. I took pictures and they look extremely bright in the pictures. All in all I feel that $300 is way too much for these lights. If I had to do it over again, I would probably just purchase a cheaper set.

Can we see pictures of your AiBs in daylight?

The MYCARRs are less costly, but are known for their lack of longevity and lower light output when compared to AiBs.

Tom,

I have already contacted Jurrian about this issue. I will take a picture in the daylight as soon as I can. There is currently a storm going on right now here in SF, so taking a picture right now would not really show them in the daylight. As soon as the sun decides to come out, (might be a few days) I will take a picture and post it here. I will also send a copy to Jurrian as well.

If you're referring to the headlamps in our other thread:

No work was performed on the assembly, this is how the 00-03 headlamps will be offered as from us. Replacing the OEM pitted lenses is an added bonus for those with higher mileage.

This is a quick and easy upgrade for those that are already equipped with HID. Halogen users will need a HID kit (which we also offer) which is not much more.

For facelifted e53s, AiBs are the way to go.

got the AiB about 6months ago, they aren't "blinding" bright lights, but compared to the dim dingy yellow of the oem color and output, worth the $$$ imo, and Tom was cool enough to flash the computer on the e35 to make the windows roll up with the key fob. That and the AiB's makes people

LEDs are the way to go! i was just at the umnitza warehouse and i saw the comparison between LED and CCFL. LED is 10X brighter

The headlights specify 00-03 fitment, I will need a 04-06 here before I can give the ok they fit the later models.

The CCFLs they offered were rebranded MYCARR product, at one time going for over $350/set.

We can't take the credit for this, as this is how they now come shipped from DEPO, further proof that umnitza again did not "engineer" their Angel Eyes.
