Computer reset after wheel alignment
I know you have to have a steering sensor reset after having an alignment or raising the front wheels off the ground. I've also seen that someone said you can just turn your steering all the way to the left, then all the way to the right (after it is back on the ground) to reset the sensor.
Can anyone confirm this, or provide any further guidance? Thanks. |
i have lifted mine off the ground plenty and never had to reset anything.

Well since you obviously know everything, then why have some people had to have the computer code reset for that????

Interesting...My X5 had front lower thrust arm replaced and indy told me to return back to him once wheel alignment done to have steering angle reset.Havent gone back after alignment yet and now all sorts of orange lights,DSC etc come on.This is usually after driving for 15 min or so at relatively constant speed on motorway.Does not tend to come on for short journeys or stop and start driving. The lights clear after key removed from ignition, but come on again under similar circumstances.Did not have this problem before lower thrust arm was replaced.
