thanks, by the way I installed the aux input, and I put it where you put it! what a genius, totally out of the way of everything, it even goes in the little thing a mijik quite nice! (cigarrette but thing).

Now im downloading all my stuff to my mp3! I screwed up one of the cables that you need to remove, but I found a way to splice the wire and put it back in, im really lucky! P.S. I SHOULD DO A WRITE UP WITH PICTURES!

Thanks so much. is this the same wire that plugs in the radio and people are running to the ashtray. The photo frm the seler only shows the installed end in the glove box with an ipod in it. I just want to be sure this is the same factory wire that simply plugs in the radio. If this is the same part I am all set and thanks to you saved some time and $$.

The part I am looking for is part # 65 12 0 153 503 . That is what others have installed according to the instruction post posted earlier. Is this the same part.???

i am pretty sure this is the same part it dosent give the OEM number, but it says it fits a x5 and its only the end of it in the picture

yea i know what you mean its pretty funny back in 05 when u have a GPS navigation defice and when u looked behind it theres a cassette tape behind it. guess its just one of those marketing things that i just dont understand:dunno:
