I don't think so, it is a stock location for Z4 and X3 right? But all in all an aftermarket solution and a permanent modification. There are better options for OEM looking Navigation coming soon.

For me I only have to type in the address once, then the steering wheel controls work to control the aftermarket deck from there. Me being 6'4", I sit farther from the steering wheel than most and I still want this bezel...now if only someone would make it for aftermarket use.

Tons of free airspace and will definately give more punch than anything that would fit in the stock location. I have the sliding cargo shelf and throw my spare in for roadtrips, but I'd use that space in a heartbeat over some of the large pre-made enclosures I've seen people use. If it were me doing it that way, I would have at least tried to countersink it and use a grill over top so I could still throw things in the back.

I've got an Avic-F90BT on the way w/ a similar bezel. I'm worried that it'll get a lot of sunglare being the same angle as dash. Do you have that problem?

I've never seen such plain looking climate controls.

The mounting angle is the same as the stock setup. There's no more glare than a stock navi setup.

It seems the early year manual transmission X's were sparsely equipped so I have the manual climate control. As you know the manuals are hard to find. A manual that you really really like is even harder to find.

I remember years back when I was shopping for an X5 3.0 5spd to turbo the bejesus out of before I found my 7, but I don't remember what the climate controls looked like on the ONE manual that I found. They are definately harder to come by.

Before I bought the current X, I looked at both 3.0's (preferred the manual) and 4.4's (no choice auto :() and saw both styles of the climate control.

4k for the Z4 system is RIPOFF! You can easily find that monitor for around $600 and an MK4 for around the same or less. You better have some custom car building know how tho to put it all together tho! LOL

I agree it's a ripoff. I wrote the guy who makes the doubledin bezels for the X5, but he comes off as uninterested in making something similar so we could mount a double din on the dash instead, so then we don't have to lose the OBC. Oh well.
