The red light (within the clowns nose) under the rear view mirror, that you see blinking is confirmation that the car is alarmed.
Sorry, I'm not too sure where it is powered from and or where the control unit is.

Why are you not just double clicking your remote, which of course unlocks all doors in one go ??
See Manual pages 32 & 33 below (or you could look in your glove box at your own, if you have one).

I cannot double click the remote fob because it has not been working.I will have a look at the module behind the glove box to see if I can see anything.Does this unit have a fuse as I have not been able to use the fob since I bought the car.one year ago.

Thanks for the advise will keep you posted.

Thanks Romal

Mine has a central lock button in the center console that can be used to unlock all doors once the drivers has been opened , Is there no dealers near you that could check your key for you

when was the last time you put a battery in the remote fob ?

I had a spare key that did not work either so I replaced the battery and still no joy.
